Review- M&S NEW Rhubarb & Custard

Another thing I picked up last week in Marks and Spencer were these NEW Rhubarb & Custard. They were in the Confectionary aisle but I'm not sure what to call them.. Chocolate? Sweets? Bobbly misshaped delights?

Custard flavour white chocolate coated puff cereal and freeze dried rhubarb.

First and foremost.. Am I the only one who thinks they look a bit like teeth? Apologies if I have just grossed anyone out but don't be put off by their strange appearance - they are delicious! I was surprised how true the flavour was to rhubarb & custard. The sweet white chocolate goes perfectly with the tart rhubarb. The puff cereal made them crunchy and very moreish. My only complaint is that some of the rhubarb was really chewy and quite sour once the chocolate had gone - Luckily only a few pieces were like this!

Overall, these a fab. The little 80g carton didnt hang around for long sadly! At £3, they aren't the cheapest snack in the world but definitely worth it, if you are a rhubarb fan. M&S have a whole range of treats like these including Earl Grey Almonds that my fellow reviewing, Amigo (@kevvieguy) is crazy about. Check out his review -http://kevssnackreviews.blogspot.co.uk/2015/04/earl-grey-almonds-marks-spencer-review.html?m=1. They are next on my list to try!

It's a 4 out of 5 for the 'bobbly misshaped teeth delights' from me!

  1. Cheers for the mention! And thanks for giving me a mental image of these looking like teeth..I didn't even think of that when I saw them lol. I'll probably give these a try at some point but like you say, a bit pricey at £3!

    1. You are most welcome for that mental image haha it's the first thing I thought of when i poured them out of the carton! It's a shame M&S didn't have them on an introductory offer..
