Snackmas Day 3- M&S Christmas Dusted Pearls: Mocha, Orange and Strawberry

Who's got their tree up? Too early? Well, maybe these M&S Dusted Pearls might just act as some inspiration.. They are glittery gold, silver and bronze after all!

Weighing in at 110g each and costing a rather pricey £3.50 a pop, the Malteaser sized, Mocha, Orange and Strawberry balls are made with Swiss chocolate and are all suitable for Vegetarians - Can't forget about Veggies at this time of year! Much to my disappointment, the Pearls don't actually come across as sparkly on camera as in person.. But fair warning, you and everything you own will end up glistening upon opening the plastic packaging! 

Mocha

Lustred milk chocolate with coffee filling - 33% Cocoa Solids. 

Orange

Lustred milk chocolate with an orange flavoured filling - 33% Cocoa Solids. 

Strawberry

Mocha

Smelling strongly of freshly ground espresso, the ball immediately packed an authentic coffee flavour which was just the right strength and went wonderfully with the cocoa rich tones from the creamy and smooth chocolate. Texture wise, the melt was superb and not all to dissimilar to a butter-like, Lindt Lindor with the edible glitter exterior not adding anything gritty. One for the coffee addicts - A 4 out of 5 from me. 

Orange

Next up, the classic christmas flavour that is Chocolate Orange! The signature aroma was instantly recognisable and most inviting. Thankfully, it was just as decent in taste with the orange coming through plenty without being overpowering and as expected, pairing up with the melt in the mouth, Swiss Chocolate a treat. Would a dark chocolate have been better however? Perhaps. Another 4 out of 5. 

Strawberry

Lastly and sporting the bronze (Or as the cool kids would say, rose gold) dusting was of course the Strawberry. As seen with both other varieties, the melt and quality of chocolate was one again second to none with a ridiculously silky feel. A real tangy strawberry kick was provided which wasn't all that sugary sweet and generally very more-ish! Where is the white chocolate, I hear you ask? Good question. It's a final 4 out of 5 from me! 

Overall, these Dusted Pearls are most tasty indeed and would make a great addition to your Christmas party table or just in bowls for your family and friends to grab at over the holidays - They are certainly very striking and with flavours to please everyone.. There's nothing not to love! Yes, it is a shame that M&S didn't consider pairing the flavours with different types of chocolate to switch things up a bit but no matter.. Only a real Scrooge is going to moan about having too much of the decent Swiss stuff! 

Review- Lindt Creation: Chocolate Cake

Lindt is up there with everyones favourite chocolate, right? I for one, don't know of anyone who doesn't like it.. Even if the Lindor Balls do leave you feeling a bit woozy after having eaten a dozen! Perhaps the solution is not eating 12 in one sitting.. Or maybe transition to a Creation Milk Bar instead? 

Extra smooth milk chocolate with a fine dark chocolate truffle and a melting heart. 

The eternally wonderful and my little Peanut Poo, NibsnScribs sent me the 150g Chocolate Cake inspired, Swiss treat and I was very excited to try another offering from the range after having received the Refreshing Lemon version at Christmas. This bar which is comprised of 30% cocoa solids also contains hazelnuts and almonds so a no go for any allergy sufferers out there! 

Look at that gooey centre! - Lindt weren't lying with their "melting heart" claim! As expected, this reflected in the texture with the sensational smelling chocolate slowly dissolving on the tongue producing a ridiculously silky smooth feel. Taste wise, the quality of cocoa was second to none - All rich, creamy tones without being overly sweet thanks to a hint of something darker in the background. A ever so faint flavour of hazelnut lingered but certainly not enough to tip the Bar into Nutella territory.. Although I expect that would have worked too! Delicious. 

Overall, this Chocolate Cake Creation is one of the best Chocolate Bars I have ever had - Lindt have managed to achieve that fondant-esque texture whilst not compromising on the flavour to produce something which can only be described as, out of this world good! I will definitely be hunting down another and I suggest you do the same! It's top marks from me, 5 out of 5! Thanks Peanut! 

Review- Lindt Lindor Spring Collection: Milk, Coconut, Stracciatella and Strawberries & Cream

Continuing with the Easter theme and persistent mentioning of Blogging buddies.. Mrs 1T also included these Spring Collection Lindt Lindor Eggs in the very lovely parcel she sent me a few weeks ago. Having read her shining review of the Milk, White & Dark Irresistible Smooth, I was pretty much excited to give this variation a go!

I am not 100% sure where this Spring Collection can be purchased as I haven't seen them in my home away from home, Tesco but I don't expect they should be to hard to find in the supermarkets - A lot of Lindt does seem to be floating about at the minute!

The box contained 14 individually foil wrapped eggs in which 5 were Milk and 3 each of the Coconut, Stracciatella and Strawberries & Cream.

Do feel free to face plant the screen of your Tech - No one should resist such glorious looking chocolate! Starting with the Milk, it had the standard Lindt scent that we all know and love with a almost cold feel once having cracked through the shell to reveal the very creamy, silky smooth, rich chocolatey taste within - Perfection! Up next was the Strawberries & Cream - I was slightly concerned that I wasn't going to like this one given how I think the Lindor Balls of the very same flavour taste both artificial and medicinal but thankfully, I had nothing to worry about here.. Very sweet due to the white chocolate with an unmissable strawberry kick from the melt in the mouth, baby pink centre, these eggs were delightful and nothing like the aforementioned! Thirdly and perhaps the one I was the most excited about - Coconut! Once again, the shell had a good snap to it and cocoa flavour which paired perfectly with the pure hit of pure tropical goodness of creamy, heavenly coconut. Last but by no means least, was the Stracciatella with its vanilla-y tones from possibly the best white chocolate known to man, velvety inner with a contrasting crunch from the milk chocolate pieces running throughout the shell. Delicious! 

Overall, this Spring Collection of Lindor Eggs is as expected.. Wonderful! Nothing seems to come close to the quality of Lindt Chocolate - Each here is full of flavour, has a fantastic melt and is dangerously moreish. I highly recommend you treat yourself to some or perhaps sweet talk Mrs 1T into buying you a box! It's a 4.5 out of 5 from me.
